Covid Teststations in Berlin

I moved to Berlin in the middle of the global threat Covid 19. It was a very confusing time and in many ways, I found very fascinating. One of them that caught my eyes in my first months in the city were the numerous Covid Rapid Teststations that were planted all over the city. Unlike in Reykjavík, my hometown, where one was only able to take a PCR test at a few local clinics. The waiting time could take up to an hour whereas in Berlin the process went over quickly and efficiently. From January till May of 2022, I ended up with taking pictures of around 50 Stations. I was surprised with how accessible and diverse all the Stations I discovered were. I was also lucky to have been able to do the series in time because in the autumn it was no longer mandatory to show a negative test since most people, like myself, were vaccinated and infections were decreasing. Simultaneously the Covid Teststation disappeared one after another.
